Cultural heritage committee
For over 120 years th Celtic club has been the focal point of the Australian Irish community in Melbourne.
The central aim of the Club is to be Victoria's major venue for the celebration and experience of Australian Irish heritage and culture whilst also extending a welcoming hand to people of all Celtic nations as well as the broader community.
Roles, Responsibilities and Activities
The Cultural Heritage Committee of the Celtic Club sets out to achieve the cultural aims of the Club by presenting a variety of programs, events and activities that further develops community involvement and which enriches our appreciation of our Australian Irish and Celtic culture.
Managing the Celtic Club Library and Seniors Conputer Kiosk
Our library collections includes over 1,300 books, periodicals and magazines on subjects including Australian Irish History, literature, language, politics, the arts - music, dance and theatre. In the Seniors Kiosk tutors offer a free introduction to computer use.

Reading Circle & Film Club
Sessions occur approximately every 2 months and include readings, film and discussions on various themes,, characters and places that are part of our Australian Irish heritage and culture.
Artefacts and paintings
The Cultural Heritage Committee is also responsible for the custody and display of historical items, artifacts and paintings held by the Celtic Club.
Related Cultural Groups
The committee also develops integrated programs with the related cultural groups that see the Celtic Club as their home.

The Cultural Heritage Committee's calendar of events, indicates the social, cultural, literary and educational programs that will be presented and which seek to portray and celebrate our Australian Irish culture both past, present and future.
