Celtic Club Literary Competition

The Melbourne CELTIC CLUB, through its Cultural Heritage Committee, in association with the Australian Irish Heritage Network (publisher of Tinteán), are holding the annual competition for the 2010/2011 Celtic Club Literary Award which honours Morgan Jageurs and his efforts in promoting Irish culture in Australia and helping the establishment of the Celtic Club.

MORGAN JAGEURS was a fine orator and writer, and a man imbued with a deep love of Irish art and culture. Patrick O'Farrell says of Jageurs that he 'personally sustained virtually all Irish organisations in Melbourne during his active lifetime.'
