23 October the Committee of Management reconsidered its decision
regarding the increase in the Club's annual subscription fees in light
of responses received from members.
The Committee decided that the fees for concession members would remain at the previous rate of $25.
No
refunds will apply for this financial year. However, a credit of $12.50
will be deducted from membership renewal fees to the relevant
members in 2007-2008.

Celtic Club
I am delighted to announce that Finbarr Carroll has been appointed as the
new Manager of the Club.
The Club conducted a transparent and professional process with a public
advertisement in The Age newspaper to select the best manager we could
possibly find.
21 applicants applied for the position and Club’s Victoria assisted the
subcommittee of the Board in the interviewing of candidates.
The Celtic Club Committee unanimously endorsed the recommendation of its
sub-committee to appoint Finbarr.
I am pleased to report that were a number of strong candidates and Finbarr
was the best and strongest candidate.
Being Irish and having worked at the club for nine months, Finbarr has a
good working knowledge of the culture of the Celtic Club. He has previously
held various positions in hotel/club management as well as working with
Tabcorp for six years.
I congratulate Finbarr on his appointment and am confident that the Celtic
Club will be in experienced and capable hands under his stewardship.
