Briege joined Celtic Club in 2023 to reconnect with Irish-Melbourne community post-COVID, enjoys our themed events and is looking forward to the new venue.
I joined Celtic club early 2023, in a bid to re-establish and grow my Irish-Melbourne connections, in a social setting.
Post covid I felt this would help to bridge the gap between my Irish homeplace and my Melbourne home. The timings, frequency & location of events all suited me and everyone has been extremely welcoming especially the club manager Catherine.
What I particularly like is every event has a focus or a specific topic to it, so there’s always interesting conversation or interviews with invited Irish people.
I’m looking forward to enjoying the Celtic club in their new venue and see what the next chapter brings.
